1Why are Amora gems no longer available?
Production of Amora gems has ceased due to decreased demand. The price of lab-grown diamonds has significantly declined in recent years, making it financially unviable to resume Amora gem production.
2What is a laboratory diamond?
A laboratory diamond, also known as a lab-grown diamond, synthetic diamond, or cultured diamond, is a type of diamond created in controlled laboratory environments rather than being formed naturally deep within the Earth's crust. These diamonds are produced using advanced technological processes that replicate the conditions under which natural diamonds develop. They consist of actual carbon atoms arranged in the crystal structure characteristic of diamonds. Laboratory diamonds share the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as natural diamonds, making them visually and chemically identical. They have gained popularity for their ethical, sustainable, and often more affordable attributes compared to mined diamonds.

5Laboratory diamond care guide
Caring for laboratory-grown diamonds is similar to caring for natural diamonds. While lab diamonds are durable and resistant to scratches, they still benefit from proper care to maintain their brilliance and beauty. Here are some essential care tips:
Regular Cleaning: Clean your laboratory diamond regularly to keep it looking its best. Soak it in a mixture of mild dish soap and warm water, and then gently scrub it with a soft brush, like a toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Laboratory diamonds are resistant to most chemicals, but it's best to avoid exposure to harsh substances like chlorine, bleach, and other corrosive agents, as they can potentially damage the metal settings or weaken prongs.
Safe Storage: When you're not wearing your lab diamond jewelry, store it separately in a fabric-lined jewelry box or pouch to prevent scratches and avoid contact with other jewelry pieces.
Regular Inspections: Periodically check your jewelry for loose stones or damaged prongs. If you notice any issues, have your jewelry inspected and repaired by a professional jeweler.
Avoid Impact: While lab diamonds are durable, they can still chip or crack upon impact. Be mindful of activities that may subject your jewelry to rough treatment, and remove it when engaging in such activities.
Ultrasonic Cleaners and Steam Cleaners: Laboratory diamonds are generally safe to clean using ultrasonic or steam cleaners. However, it's crucial to follow the manufacturer's recommendations for both the jewelry and the cleaning equipment.
Professional Cleaning: Consider having your lab diamond jewelry professionally cleaned and inspected by a jeweler at least once a year to ensure its integrity and longevity.
